Trip to States- Drugstore Haul

So Walgreens is our first stop of the trip, and the followings are the few stuff i picked up:
  • Maybelline Mineral Power Foundation- I rarely finish a tube of foundation but this one (in HK version tht comes with a lil pump), has been finished up about a month ago! (and this one is on sale for 5 bucks when i got it. yay!) love the light texture while providing enough coverage at the same time- perfect for daily usage!
  • Carmex lip products- so i guess i dont hv to make further talk on how great these are!
  • Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/ Mask- I think this product is recommended in one of videos by Michelle Phan and wanted to try these long ago, but unfortunately our local drugstore doesn't carry it. I've tried this once today and feeling quite refreshing after, hope it would do a good job in getting rid of the blackheads & pimples!
  • Maybelline XXL Pro- one of the best maybelline's mascara in lengthening, can't wait to try it out!
  • Wet n' Wild eyebrow pencil & eye shadow- i think i've finally find the right shade for my eyebrow! love it! (and it only costs 1 buck!!)
  • Crest 3D White multi-care whitening rinse- i dun have a habit of using these kind of rinse but the reason i got it is becuz it shares the same ingredients as the Whitestrips, cuz i personally hate using those so i really hope this will share the same whitening result!
  • Vaseline petroleum gel- boring stuff. but the reason i bought them is to make my perfume stays longer! (as the scents of my DKNY apples tends to fade away within few hrs after application..)
  • PanOxyl acne cleansing soap- you can make no foam out of it- a bit more to the medication side!
That's pretty much abt it. A mini clothing haul coming up tmr! (which is also the last part)
stay tuned!:) XOXO

Estée Lauder Pleasures Bloom Eau de Parfum Spray

I didn't notice Estée Lauder has their own fragrance line until I saw their ad campaign on magazine. The ad comes with a sample of the scent- I'm so in love with it! I believe this is a 2nd edition of its original one, Pleasures, with the new fruity scents added, the feeling it gives off is just so vibrant and youthful!

Not only the glamourous packaging that caught my attention, also the beautiful name, Flowerbomb.... the whole combination is just so sentimental and dreamy...

Sephora Endless Color Blockbuster

I don't feel the need of the variety of eyeshadow colors until these days (mostly becuz of halloween!haha). This new cosmetics palette from Sephora included 98 eye shadows, 70 lip glosses, 6 cream eyeliners, 4 applicators, 3 eye pencils, 3 blushes ,2 lip liners, 1 mascara with the price set at $48! sounds so tempting huh?

Laura Mercier Creme Brulee Bath & Body Collection

Perhaps it's because Laura Mercier's famous base make up line has given me a natural image, the products from this collection all seem to be very mild to any skin types. It might actually be true since they're all made out of natural ingredients and vitamins, that it leaves skin a 'fresh, supple and moisturized ' according to Sephora. And because of the product flavors like honey and Souffle sounds so delicious, I think I've found another Christmas gift option!

Marcer Wanders X MAC Limited Edition Collection

I don't normally bring cosmetics out for doing touch-ups, but whatever, the pressed powder with such attractive packaging is just so cool to carry it around isn't it? This limited edition collection designed by Marcer Wanders is launching on 24th Nov at MAC, I'm now so excited to see the real objects in store!

Clinique Lipgloss keyring for BCA month 2010

I'm really liking the idea of putting tiny-sized cosmetics into a keyring. It comes to extremely handy esp on rush mornings, just like grabbing a chain of keys before you left home and you may finish off the rest of your make up in the car or whatsoever. This cute lipgloss keyring from Clinique designed for the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, $4 of every purchases will be donated to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. But unfortunately I don't use lip products often unless special occasions, so it'll be awesome if they further develop on this concept, adding others cosmetics like mascaras, concealers, or small eye shadow palettes to this lil key chain! If so I'll def be bringing them home without hesitation!

Few new bottles of Nail Polishes

So I was shopping in a cosmetics store about two weeks ago in Korea. I got attracted by the lowww prices(~CAD$1) of the nail polishes as well as its wide selection of colors, and decided to pick up some shades other than pale pink or creamy white I normally wear. I'd say those I chose were quite neutral already(...?) But still, it just doesn't feel quite like me when I have them on. Perhaps I'm just gonna save them for winter, prolly I'll feel more comfortable with them influenced by the weather! haha.

Jill Stuart Blush Blossom Fall 2010 Collection

I believe their beauty products with such pretty packaging are what most girls wanted to have in their cosmetics bag, and of course, same as I do! I'm drooling for these blushes and lipgloss in the new colors released this fall. I wonder if Korea or Hong Kong sells their products with lower prices?

DKNY Be Delicious Eau de Parfum Spray

While the original green apple has been the most popular bottle amongst the line, I fall for the red and the fresh blossom one.

Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Palette

Urban Decay's new Naked eyeshadow pan should be one of the few palettes I see in the market that has combined shades that all seems to be all wearable. It contains 12 shimmery metallics and mattes in total, shades are mostly based on neutral and toasted tone (which is what I would wear mostly!). Hmm.. quite a tempting product!

Kiehl's Acai Label Art Toning Mist

I've been looking for a body mist to replace the after-shower body lotion. These recently released limited-edition mists from Kiehl's seems to be pretty triable as their skincare products has relatively good reputation. Besides, 100% of the USD$26 price benefits the Rainforest Allicance! I think I'm gonna check out the scents of them in their store later today!

M.A.C BlushCreme

M.A.C BlushCreme has been my recent favorite. I've been using the one in Ladyblush (a cool pink) for quite a while, it's such an awesome blush that I'm convinced to get more! I happened to pick up my second can in an outlet store with half price off during my trip down to states. The color called Pleasureful, a nice peachy shade with the right amount of pink to flatter the complexion, but somehow this color has been discontinued.(?) A real wonderful blush that adds a flush of color to get away my paleness, giving off a natural healthy glow in a minimal effort.

Aveeno Sunscreen Lotion with SPF 50

Lately we get to hear a lot about the importance of sunscreen from both magazines and Youtube gurus, however I found most of the sunscreen with high SPF protection usually leaves a greasy finishing. I've ran out of my old one and purchased this new tube from Aveeno as replacement few days ago, this product is just fantastic! It's actually my first sunscreen lotion with "non-greasy & oil-free formula" that works as what it claimed! This sunscreen has SPF 55 with UVA/UVB protection, containing vitamins C, E and natural soy proteins. It is also waterproof and non-comedogenic(won't clog pores!). Highly recommendable!

Lipsmackers X Vitamin Water

Vitamin water has been gaining popularity for quite a while, which one's your favourite amongst the 8 flavors? These lip balms called Vitaminschticks, are the crossover product of Vitamin Water with Lipsmackers recently released, came in the same flavors as the beverages with additions of both Vitamin E & SPF20! The packaging of the balms are so cute-looking, just like a tiny little version of the bottle! Wanna run to the drugstores now and try out all of the flavors!

What your Acne is Telling You?

I don't quite share Youtube videos here but I think, Bubzbeauty, one of the most popular beauty guru on Youtube, shared a very great piece of information here, especially for anyone with acne-pore skin or having troubles with pimples sometimes in a while. I started to drink a lot of water after watching this clip, hoping to cure my breakouts and improve skin condition by "flushing" out the toxins in my body as what bubz says. haha.
